We recently had the pleasure of having a booth at the Grand Wedding Show. It was so much fun coming up with a fresh design scheme to show off our gorgeous boutique hire props and love for unique handmade decorations! Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by and say hello! It was so lovely to meet all of you and hear all of your fabulous wedding ideas!
With total creative freedom, I was at a bit of a loss for what to do, until I saw some stunning fuchsia and burgundy florals on Pinterest. I already knew that I really wanted to incorporate fruit, so I just ran with it! The table centrepiece, floral drawer and cake topper were created using roses, hydrangea, tulips, celosia, amaranthus, magnolia leaves, pears and plums–what a sumptuous combination!
To make things a bit more modern, we filled the apothecary jar with white chocolate dipped fruit studded with non-pareils. For seating cards, we also used the studded fruit, pinned with silver 3D name cards.
The gorgeous red velvet, naked cake was created by Grace over at Spoonful of Sugar. Being from the South, I’m a bit of a crazy person when it comes to judging red velvet–I was so excited when I took a bite of this and it was even more delicious than it looked! Seriously check out Spoonful of Sugar for delicious cupcakes for your next event…or nagging cupcake craving!
I’m a bit of a sucker for handmade decorations. They add that little bit extra that really makes one event stand out from the others. For the show, we decided to create custom signage on the gorgeous grey mirror we have for hire. Over the cake table, we hung berry and plum, multi-toned tassel garland…with the odd silver one thrown in for a bit of oomph! Oh, and you can’t forget the floating “Let them eat cake” sign. It may be my favourite thing from the booth!
The gorgeous photos are compliments of the very talented Sarah Worthington of Fresh Photography. The lighting at the show was terrible for photos, but she managed to capture some amazing shots! She’s booking up quickly for next wedding season, so contact her soon so you don’t miss out!
I can’t leave out a very special thanks to my wonderful husband who built the beautiful walls and flooring that gave us the perfect blank slate to style. I’m a very lucky girl!
We had so much fun at the wedding show and hope that we’ll get to work with some of you to create a gorgeous and enviable day! xx
